CIBTAC – Bridge The Gap – Level 4 – Skin Peel

The Academy has launched, with CIBTAC, the UK’s first Bridge The Gap course, meaning that if you have the necessary skills and knowledge in the industry to carry out skin peels, but don’t have the relevant qualification we can assist you to achieve that qualification.  Why not get ahead of your competitors prior to the upcoming changes that the UK government will implement regarding treatments like microneedling, skin peels, and micropigmentation.

Description

Who is this course for?

This Bridge The Gap course is designed for anyone that has been working in the beauty industry for many years, carrying out Skin Peel treatments that perhaps trained a long time ago and their “qualification” is not regulated by OFQUAL.  This would save time and cost to the applicant allowing them to achieve a recognised qualification without completing the full Level 4 Skin Peel course.

Each candidate will have to evidence their experience and capabilities to attend this course.  They will be required to provide documentary evidence and complete a trade test, followed by an closed book theory exam.

Course description

Candidates will apply to The Academy and complete their application to attend the Bridge The Gap course.  Each candidate will complete an application form, which involves providing the Academy with their prior learning knowledge.  The Academy will then process this through their Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) modalities, to evidence that the candidate has the skills and knowledge to deliver safe and competent treatments.  This will be in the form of evidence like previous experience (CV), case studies, photographic evidence of their work, etc.

If the candidate cannot provide the necessary evidence during their trade test, and through their documentation, that they have the required level of prior knowledge they will be required to complete the full level 4 qualification.  The cost of attending the Bridge the Gap application will be deducted from the Level 4 qualification course should the applicant go ahead.
