Our Spa Therapist Course Scotland pathway combines the Level 2 Facial Skincare and CIBTAC Level 3 Body Massage qualifications. Together, they give you the core practical skills needed to work confidently in a professional spa or salon.
By completing both qualifications, you will be trained to deliver two of the most in-demand treatments in the industry: professional facial skincare and full body massage. This combination significantly increases your employability within spas, salons and wellness settings across the UK and internationally.
Course Structure & Qualification
Both qualifications are officially regulated by OFQUAL, ensuring they meet recognised national standards and deliver high-quality, industry-relevant training.
Each qualification includes:

5 full days of practical training at The Academy per course
(A total of 10 practical training days if you complete both qualifications) -
8–10 weeks of online learning

Commercial salon experience

Self-directed study
You can choose to complete the courses in tandem or one after the other, depending on your availability. If taken together, some online learning elements may overlap, allowing you to progress efficiently.
At the end of each qualification, you will complete a final assessment, which is submitted to CIBTAC for certification.
